Ahhh Dwibbly,

First off, welcome to GCC milord Smile One of the reasons there are so few peeps on the public GV servers is that MS has stopped supporting GV, and as a result, fewer folks are using the device for chat than when I created this site. Microsoft has actually effectively broken Game Voice, because if you download anything later than Msn MEssenger 4.7, GV stops working properly.

Don't fret milord, you aint out of luck yet.

We have 2 BF1942 related clans here that use voice chat, but not Game Voice. I am actually recruiting officer for a clan called Specters Alliance (Who also play MoH), and we use TeamSpeak (A free voice comm program) for our battlefield communications.

Many people out there still use GV. I know I still use it for voice commands in some games, and I continue to make new profiles for downloading. I also normally setup a GV chat for GCC games and events, but few people actually use it these days.

With continued interaction here in the community I am confident you will find a place for yourself in the world of voice comm gaming. At the very least, at least you foind the only site still supporting GV as a device Wink

Hey there and welcome to GCC.

I think its safe to say that i am one of the only members here who still loves GameVoice, even though i have had countless trouble with it, but also found fixes (still working on latlest prob lol)

If theres ever a game im playing and a server for it i will normaly be in it, or hosting my own when i can.

I know Teamspeak is widely used here now though, but im GVer!!!!!!! heh.
Unforctanatly i dont play them two games, what other games do you play?

sheesh. I haven't used this stuff in like 2 years.
My hockey puck was among other things that are now unrecoverable.....but I digress...
Microsoft should refund everyone that bought that thing. What a waste of money if they don't support it.

Ok, i'm making my new Ventrilo server public, its got 15 openings on it. The only other restriction is, if my gaming clan needs it for practice, you gotta give it up. (assuming your presence takes us over the 15 user limit) Otherwise, enjoy!!

Tonight we have updated your site with multiple voice offerings. Not only do we now have a dedicated 24/7 voice server up and running for games, support, or chat (TeamSpeak client needed), but we also have a on the fly listing for the site that will show you who is online, what channels they are in, and more. Look near the bottom of the left menu (Only registered, logged in members can see this), and once you have TS installed, you can pull down a channel and join the GCC server right from the main menu!

www.teamspeak.org if you need the cleint software.

Multiple channels are setup for your use, and as we get going more in the chat use, I will assign moderators, and help the members get a registered status on the server. Once registered, a member of GCC can create their own channels, and clans can setup a home channel if they like.

The server should be very stable, and we will be testing it shortly with a few end of summer tournaments Smile The tournament channel is currently password protected, to be used for GCC tournaments only.

smaug.MyServer.org:8767/ for quick connect, and once you have a TS login on the server, use the menu for quick registered access.
