I have recently resurrected my old P2 400 from my pile of out-dated computer parts. Since all the computer will be used for at the moment is temp storage/occasional game server/2nd Seti cruncher, I figured that I could "lend" its resources to the GCC community and host a couple of "Unofficial" GCC Voice Chat Servers.

I currently have a TeamSpeak 2 RC2 server and a MS Game Voice server running 24/7. All GCC members are free to make use of them for thier gaming/chatting needs. The GV server only has one channel, but feel free to registered your user-name on the TS server and create your own persistant channels.

To join the channels just install your choice of clients, and then "cut and paste" the corresponding URL into your WWW browser!
[NOTE: The GV Server only allows connections from client Version 1.5, and the TS2 Server only allows connections from RC2 version clients.]

The URL's for the servers are:
TeamSpeak 2 = myth.myipaddress.net:8767/
and
Game Voice = myth.myipaddress.net

The GV Server shows up on GameVoice's Public Server List.
The TS2 Server shows up on the TeamSpeak Public Server List, but you can not connect to it thru there as TeamSpeak doesn't seem to get the IP address correct, thus listing it under an incorrect address.

Any problems, questions or concerns, just let me know. Enjoy!

Excellent Myth, I will point people to this is you don't mind in the GCC news. Later I am hoping to bring back the GCC voice servers page with all voice servers we have in our network, and those of community members.

I will add yours to that list once it is completed. I have some side projects (Hosting and design) which will hopefully be bringing some income to GCC for a perm voice server.

Set them up right:
{GameClubCentral.com} General Chat
{GameClubCentral.com} EverQuest
{GameClubCentral.com} SolDefenders
{GameClubCentral.com} FPS

All of them use a password, the password for all servers exept for the SolDefenders one is GCC

They should be appearing on GV.com any minute now

Tested, had some problem getting speech here tho, but that could just be something on my PC, cause we tried in a GV chat section hosted by the person I tested it with and it didn't work either...

Just a quick note to let you all know that I got TeamSpeak 2 to "figure out" my IP correctly.
The server is now correctly listed here.
All you have to do is click the IP and a pop-up box appears, you fill in your username/handle, click submit, and voila the TS2 client starts and connects you automagicly!

Triax is Right, it's in the Netherlands, and it is indeed a personal server I have right here. I've had some problems with the server so they're down now, but the server is being re-installed and will be back up soon

Hi all.

I'm new to the Game Voice thing and hoping for a little help.
I've downloaded game voice profiles from this site (Cheers) and i've managed to join two servers mentioned in this forum (although I was the only one there).
How do I go about joining gamers using Game Voice 1.5, is there a list of members using either Battlefield 1942 or Medal of Honor?

Please help.

Confused

Hiya Dwibbly, welcome to GCC!

As far as I know you just have to find some people who want to play a game of your choice and meet up. It is usefull to mention whaichy games you play and what time-zone you are in as, I say it with pride, GCC is a world-wide community.

This is a pretty good first step if you ask me!
