For those who like the book and the film, have you ever played the text-based adventure that was released ages ago?

Well, it appears that they've made it available for play in a flash-based environment. So they've added some graphics to the old format, but it's still a text based adventure game.

If you're interrested, check it out

I may have to check that out at home sometime. I KNOW they won't let me do anything fun like that at work.

Reminds me of some of the things I really hated about adventure games.

Use gown on fish.

I don't know how to do that!

Arggh!

The was the point of most adventure games, carry some irrelevant piece of drap around only to find that you needed it later, but having in your possesion only prevented something else from happening, ad infinitum. Puzzle sovling to gain more access.

My very first ever computer was a self built Heakthit H-89. It was used and only lasted me about a year before I "upgraded" to the C=64 which was smaller and had a whopping 38k of system ram after the OS loaded! Sweet! Rolling Eyes

My first ever game was Adventure - The collosal cave. the same game created on the Cray-1 at MIT.

When I was younger I played Ballywho on my Atari 520ST. I've still not beaten it yet :(.
