I decided it was time to upgrade the PC from a core 2 duo 2.5, to something newer. I moved from my Dell XPS to a custom build, and I am VERY happy with the new machine. Specs below, pictures later:
Intel i7 2600k Overlocked to 4.9Ghz
Gigabyte Z68XUD3H-B3 motherboard
24GB Dual Channel 1833 Corsair memory
OCZ 800Watt Power Supply
XFX Radeon 6970
2 SSD (1 Crucial 120GB, and one Samsung 128GB)
Coolermaster Storm case
I got all of this for under $1000
OS is on one drive, and all games on the Samsung. Holy moley, Batman is running like glass!

WOW dude, that is one hell of a rig! Wish i could get something like that.
Must be something of a speedy thingy, and more so if you been using something that was 8 years old!
Got myself a SSD myself recently and they are good!
Also had to replace my GT 8800 512, thing died Got a new 570 GTX 1.2Gb and it is good.

Very nice Triax, my next card will be Nvidia, I got the ATI at an incredible sale so I could not pass it up for $299.
The speed is incredible. I went from a 5.9 Windows score, to a 7.9 across the board. Windows loads completely from the BIOS beep in 7-9 seconds, with all programs started, wow.
The load times in local games are incredible, and I have noticed my loading times drop in MMO's like EQ2 and SWTOR to about 1/3 the time it used to on the Raptor 10k rpm drive.
As an example, I loaded Fallout 3 on the PC last month and the install took a good 10-20 minutes. With the new machine and SSD drives, it took 6 minutes.

Wow NICE! that is some incredible speed.
Im sitting on 6.8, GFX and HDD are 7.6 but the rest are 6.8 (RAM and CPU are 3-4yrs old)
My OS doesn't boot that fast, have noticed a slight slow down since first use but its still amazingly fast, i expect once i get a SATA 6Gb MoBo it'll be even better.
